The Bridal Lehenga: the Royal appearance of Radhika Merchant

Radhika Merchant’s outfits at her wedding had us all drop our jaws! One such outfit was the pink lehenga that she wore for the ‘shubh ashirwad’ ceremony. This lehenga perfectly blended the classic and the contemporary, combining fashion with meaningful symbolism! A hand-painted pink lehenga was adorned by our bride as a symbol of love to her husband, Mr. Anant Ambani. It is made of real gold zardozi and painted to create imagery as an ode to their love story. It features paintings of figures on her twelve-panelled lehenga that have a deep-rooted meaning to them; while the flora and fauna conveys Anant’s love and passion towards nature. The choli of this attire was crafted with resham embroidery, and the look was completed with a dupatta, creating a subtle and stunning look. To complement this glamorous lehenga choli, it was paired with jewellery pieces made out of pearls, diamonds, and emeralds. This lehenga has been a staple in Indian fashion, merging art and fashion, treating our eyes with a Godly look, and leaving us in awe.

The Bridal lehenga was a fusion of modern designs and emotional sentiments of her family line. Radhika Merchant, on her wedding day wore a lehenga of her dreams, giving fairytale wedding vibes. Considering her roots, she chose to wear a timeless piece of elegance, a gujarati traditional red and white lehenga. This blend of ivory and red created a magic look. Her lehenga was a ghagra styled, red-bordered skirt made with zardozi work, and had hand-embroidered floral patterns that were embellished with sequin, stones, and red resham. This attire consisted of a detachable trail, a head veil made out of jaali, and a shoulder dupatta in red tissue fabric. The bridal look was completed with chunky jewellery made out of diamonds, emeralds, and other precious stones. Radhika Merchant’s looks definitely exude grace and royalty without much effort.

Nita Ambani: The mother of the groom, Mrs. Nita Ambani dazzled in her luxurious lehengas at her younger son’s wedding. One such elegant attire was her choice of lehenga choli for the wedding of Anant and Radhika. The look was completed with a red coloured tissue dupatta that perfectly complemented the golden hue of the lehenga choli. It was a blend of banarasi saree, and a blend of swarovski crystals that instantly elevated her look. Another regal lehenga choli adorned by Nita Ambani was her pink lehenga. A look loved by most women, popularly called the gulabi lehenga was adorned by the Mother-in-law at her son’s Sangeet ceremony. The lehenga choli was jewelled with silver diamonds, and paired with a same statement multilayer necklace made out of diamonds. She wore a matha pati, and pink stone diamond earring that created an absolutely regal look.

Shades of green, beige and orange were blended to create this classic look, which was completed with an emerald necklace and gold bangles. The hair was adorned with gold accessories and a gajra, creating a gorgeous look.
